Get To Know Our DPTs

Stephanie Svoboda

Hi! My name is Stephanie Svoboda, and I am originally from Euclid, Ohio, but have lived in Miami, FL, since 2010. I earned my clinical doctorate in physical therapy from Florida International University (FIU) and a master's degree in exercise science with an emphasis in strength and conditioning from Florida Atlantic University. Additionally, I earned my Educational Specialist degree from FIU, and I am currently a PhD candidate. I am a licensed physical therapist in Florida, a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy, a Certified Manual Therapist, a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA), a certified USA Olympic Weightlifting Coach, and a certified Mindfulness Sports Performance Coach. I am also certified to use various physical therapy modalities, including blood flow restriction, dry needling, kinesiology tape, and instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization.

I enjoy working with patients of all ages and fitness levels, helping them recover from a variety of musculoskeletal conditions. I educate patients about movement, exercise, health, and wellness to empower them to take control of their own care. As a former NCAA DI soccer player and recreational bodybuilder, I now enjoy lifting weights at the South Dade YMCA. If I am not at the YMCA, you will find me at home with my husband and our pets.

Anna Kassis

Hi! My name is Anna Kassis, and I am originally from Charleston, South Carolina. I have called Miami home since 2019. I earned my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Florida International University and my Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Georgia Southern University. I am a licensed physical therapist in the state of Florida and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). I am currently pursuing certifications through the APTA Academy of Aquatic Physical Therapy and the Aquatic Therapy & Rehab Institute (ATRI) to further expand my expertise in aquatic rehabilitation.

I enjoy working with patients of all ages and backgrounds, helping them recover from injury, restore function, and achieve their personal goals.

My clinical interests include aquatic physical therapy and the unique role that water-based exercise can play in rehabilitation, recovery, and overall wellness. I am also passionate about post-operative rehabilitation, return-to-sport training, and helping athletes and active individuals reduce their risk of overuse injuries through targeted strengthening, movement analysis, and injury prevention strategies.

As a former NCAA Division I swimmer, I have a strong appreciation for movement, performance, and lifelong fitness. Outside of the clinic, I enjoy swimming, running, and strength training. In my free time, you can often find me at the beach enjoying South Florida’s sunshine and outdoor lifestyle.
